Privacy Policy — G1 Pro

Last updated: July 17, 2026

G1 Pro ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is developed by Fernando Gallo. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how. G1 Pro is an offline study app for the Ontario G1 driver's knowledge test, and it is designed to collect as little as possible.

Short version: We don't ask for your name, email, or any account. Your study data stays on your device. We use privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics to understand how the app is used, and Apple/RevenueCat to process purchases. We don't sell your data and we don't run ads.

1. Information we do NOT collect

2. Data stored only on your device

Your study activity lives on your device and is never transmitted to us:

This data is stored locally on your device. You can erase it at any time with Reset progress in Settings, or by deleting the app. If you use Apple device backups (iCloud or local), Apple may include app data in your backup under Apple's terms — we don't control or access those backups.

3. Anonymous analytics

We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. These analytics are anonymous and are not linked to your identity:

PostHog processes this data in the United States on our behalf. Learn more at posthog.com/privacy.

4. Purchases

Premium features are unlocked through Apple in-app purchases. Payments are processed by Apple, and subscription status is managed with the help of RevenueCat. When you buy or restore a purchase:

See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy and Apple's at apple.com/legal/privacy.

5. No ads, no data selling

We don't display third-party advertising, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

6. Children's privacy

G1 Pro is intended for people preparing for the Ontario G1 test (the minimum age to take it in Ontario is 16). It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app requires no personal information, none is collected in any case.

7. Your rights

Since we don't hold information that identifies you, there is generally nothing personal on our side to access, correct, or delete. You control all on-device data directly (Reset progress or delete the app). Depending on where you live (for example, the GDPR in Europe or applicable Canadian privacy laws), you may have rights regarding personal data — you can contact us with any request and we'll help where applicable.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address.
